Sleek Makeup

While I was in London a few weeks ago I had a few thing on my shopping list, my number one makeup product I wanted was Sleek Makeup! I had heard so many great reviews about Sleek makeup  and I was determined to see for myself. I tracked down every Superdrug store in London to be sure I would find what I was looking for! Man, was I happy I did!

I picked up the face contour kit in the color light. It includes a matt brown color and a shimmery highlight. What I love most is the brown contour color (also could be used as a bronzer) It is matt, which makes it perfect for contouring. I have found it very hard to find the perfect matt bronzer and this one ticks the box!

The highlight is perfect for adding shimmer to the tops of your cheekbones, under your brow bone or anywhere you want to add a little shimmer for your face!

 The contour color may look dark in the swatch, but when blended into your face it becomes the perfect contour shade for ligher skin types. This kit also comes in the colors medium and dark and can be found in any Superdrug store in England.

"Girl about Town"

I've had my eye on this lipstick for a long time now but I had not got around to purchasing it yet.. until my wonderful aunt surprised me yesterday and bought it for me! Yay!!

Pink always seems to be my go to color when I want to brighten my look and add a pop of color to my lips.
"Girl about Town" (amplified) is such a beautiful color. It is a bright (blue toned) fushia. The color pay-off is so amazing that a little goes along way! Dabbing it onto your lips can create more of a stain but of course add as much color as you want to create a bolder/brighter look! Which I love!

The color is slightly more blue toned on the lips then shown in the picture, but I think it's such an amazing color I know it will get a lot of wear from me!

"Prime Time"

This is the first makeup product I have ever bought from Topshop

I was drawn to their super-cute Black and White polkadot packaging

This is a gargeous cream blush called "Prime Time." I love the bright pink color of the blush, it is perfect for a bright pop of color on the apples of your cheeks. By applying less or more of the product you can make this cream blush as bright or as subtle as you want.

This is my new favorite blusher at the moment. I will defiantly be trying out more of Topshops makeup line in the future.

When buying mascara I normally go for a volumising mascara (my favorite being Revlon Grow Luscious mascara) I heard alot of great reviews about L'oreal Telescopic Carbon Black. When it was time for me to purchase a new mascara I thought I would give this a try, and wow was I happy I did!!

I was a little skeptical when I saw the lash comb because I mormally prefer thicker fuller combs (more for volumising) but I was very impressed with the way the comb seperated and lenghtened my lashes dramitically! 

I would describe this product as a dramatic lengthening and intensifying mascara. It is the blackest of black formula, and the lash comb coats every lash individually! This mascara is also very long lasting.

"Woodwinked"

If havent seen Mac woodwinked eyeshawdow already then be prepared to fall in love! This is my favorite eyeshadow from mac and I wanted to share it with you all!

It is a beautiful gold color that applies so easily to the lid. When you blend this shadow into the crease the gold blends seamlessly into a beautiful deep orange color which gives you shadow of color in you crease so you can create a beautiful eye look with using just one eyeshadow color.

This is a highly pigmented eyeshadow and it is very long lasting!

I can't say enough great things about this product but it is my #1 MAC product by far!

"Santa Rose"

I recently watched a youtube video where Tanya Burr aka: Pixi2woo raved about Rimmel's new blusher "Santa Rose." I knew if Tanya loved it I had to check it out!

I would describe this as a dusty pink powder blush. The ultrafine pigments blend seemlisly into the skin, with a silky and smooth feel. The long lasting formula gives a nice rosy glow and adds the perfect amount of color to your cheeks.

I love when I find an amazing product from the drugstore. I would defiantly recommend everyone to try this blush, you will fall in love!

This August nationwide Dior are releasing their new Fall 2012 collection called "Golden Jungle." It is a mix of Shimmery Golds, Matte Greens and Khaki colors.

I am a lover of the crackle nail polish trend and was particularly impressed with Diors crackle nail polish as it actually does give the effect of crocodile skin on your nails! I also love the colors with the gold shining through the cracks and the 'crocodile' green on top.

I personally love these colors and have just started wearing them. They can easily be a subtle daytime look, but then dramatically changed into a greeny/gold smokey night-time look!

With over 50 sq meters devoted to Chanel'd beauty products in every shade imaginable the store also includes Chanel's first ever nail bar. 

The store also offers a full makeup consultation for 25 pounds. You can get that money back if you purchase a product!  

I am so excited about Chanel's pop-up store, I wish I could visit it right now! It will definatly be on my "to do" list next time I go to London! (sooooon I hope!) 

Revlon "Just Bitten Kissable"

I just purchased Revlon's new "Just Bitten Kissable Balm stain"... and let me just tell you I am in LOVE! It is such an amazing product.

The packaging is very similar to Cliniques "Chubby Stick." Personally I am not a huge fan of the Chubby sticks from Clinique. I dont think they have that much color pay off and for the price of them I'm going to have to pass.. In comparison Revlon's Balm stain has much more color payoff. The formulation is what is says on the packaging, a balm stain, and it has a very long staying power! It feels soft and hydrating to the lips with a slight minty taste (which I really like). Overall I was very impressed with this product and I will be defiantly checking out their other colors! I purchased the color Lovesick. Its is a hot pink/slightly raspberry color and is so amazing! It adds the most amazing pop of color to your lips and makes your lips by far the standout feature of your face.

Bobbie Brown blusher- "BLUSHED"

I have been in search for a new blusher lately and on a recent trip to the Bobbi Brown counter I picked up a beautiful blusher called no.10 "BLUSHED" It comes in a sleek, flip top compact. 



                              



I would describe this powder blush as a muted dark, rosy color. Bobbie Brown calles this a "reddish pinky brown." In the pot there is some untrafine shimmer but hardly noticeable on the skin. So the blush in my opinion ha more of a matte finish. This blush gives me a healthy glow, and a natural looking flush. 


I would apply this blush to the apples of my cheeks and using my blush brush blend the color into the hairline, then downwards to soften the color.

NAIL'D IT!

Pretty in Purple with ESSIE'S "BANGLE JANGLE"

I've always loved the color purple, but on my nails? I wasn't so sure because I had never found a purple polish that I really loved, until I tried Essie's "Bangle Jangle" in the nail salon 2 months ago..I loved it so much the next day I went out and bought it for myself!

Bangle Jangle is actually part of Essie's Winter 2011 collection... so it may seem that im a little late on the band wagon, but when I discovered this color winter or summer I was going to wear it!

"Bangle Jangle" is a dusty lilac creme. The formula applies really well (as I find all Essie nail polishes do!) I only needed to apply 2 coats, along with my clear top coat for the perfect color!

         

Why not try and add a little sparkle to your nails like I did by applying a clear sparkle nail polish on top of BANGLE JANGLE on just one nail!
